What is the conference format/agenda?

The 4-day Las Vegas conference is comprised of keynote presentations, roundtables, tutorials, Hands-on Labs and Breakout Sessions. Customers will also want to check out the Discover Zone expo, which showcases HP's products and solutions as well as hundreds of key partner offerings. Click here to view the agenda.

Who is speaking at the event?

HP senior executives and sponsors will give the keynotes, while HP, customer, and partner subject matter experts will lead the Breakout Sessions. Please check the agenda for more specific details.

What are the Breakout Sessions?

The Breakout Sessions have been crafted to address the needs and interests of attendees from a variety of backgrounds. Business- and technical-focused Breakout Sessions will be available, as well as Hands-on Labs, demo sessions, and a secure CDA-product preview area.

How will the sessions be organized?

General Sessions and Track Keynote Sessions take a higher-level view, exploring key challenges, strategies and proposed actions. In contrast, Breakout Sessions, Hands-on Labs, and CDA Sessions dive deeper on particular challenges in making technology work for you. Sessions will be organized into one of three types of tracks: Solutions, Industries and Product/Service. There will be 8 tracks and 18 sub-tracks in total, comprised of Business and Technical Sessions. Business Sessions will explore how specific products or technologies solve a business problem, and can involve a real-life customer case study. Technical Sessions will take many forms such as exploring a particular product or technology and hands-on "interaction" with actual equipment. Participant questions not answered in a Technical Session can be pursued further at the Discover Zone.

Parking is free. We suggest parking at The Venetian | The Palazzo Resort Casino for convenient and easy access to conference sessions and activities.

Is there breakfast/lunch/dinner?

All provided conference meals will be identified on the conference agenda.

What time is on-site check-in for the conference?

Conference registration will take place throughout the week. Check back for official hours once we get closer to the event.

What do attendees need to know about the use of personal electronic devices?

Cell phones and pagers should be set to silent mode during all sessions. If an attendee must take a call, they should step outside of the room. Attendees should be aware that using a laptop or handheld device during sessions might be distracting to others.

Is smoking permitted at the venue?

Smoking within The Venetian | The Palazzo Resort Casino is prohibited. Smoking is permitted in designated areas and outside the venue.

Is a conference badge required?

Yes. Conference badges must be worn at all times during all sessions, meals and functions. If you lose your conference badge, come to the registration desk for a replacement. Your original badge will be deactivated and cannot be used.

What are the fees to attend the 2012 event?

The fee structure includes rates for groups (volume discounts, Connect, Vivit Supporting Members, HP ExpertONE), standard pricing, and on-site pricing. Please visit the registration packages to see which pricing option will work best for you.

What does the conference fee include?

With your full conference pass, you have access to all general sessions, breakout sessions, hands-on labs, the Discover Zone expo, demos, scheduled meals, conference receptions, and the Thursday evening concert. The conference pass does not include airfare, ground transportation, hotel, incidentals, or any meals outside of the scheduled conference functions.

Are guest passes available for the entertainment portion of HP Discover?

Bring a friend to enjoy HP Discover entertainment with you. Registered HP Discover attendees may purchase a Guest Pass for $125 to bring a friend to the Tuesday evening sneak preview of Madagascar 3 and the Thursday night concert. Guest passes can be purchased pre-event online or on-site at the HP Discover registration counters (The Venetian | The Palazzo, Venetian ballroom). Guests must be 21 years or older.

What is the cancellation policy?

To qualify for a refund, cancellations must be submitted electronically no later than May 11, 2012. A $100 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations. Conference and hotel cancellation fees may apply. To submit a registration cancellation, email hpdiscoversupport@hp-events.com. No HP Discover 2012 registration cancellations will be processed after May 15, 2012. User Group memberships are not refundable. HP reserves the right to cancel an attendee registration, conference price paid will be fully refunded.

What is the substitution policy?

HP Discover 2012 registration substitutions are allowed. Conference fees are applicable based on attending delegate's affiliations. All substitution requests must be made in writing to the HP Discover 2012 registration team at hpdiscoversupport@hp-events.com.

Can MDF be used for conference registration?

MDF utilization for conference fee, airfare, and hotel expenses has been approved for partners for HP Discover 2012, so incorporate HP Discover into your MDF planning. Accrued MDF can be leveraged by invited partners; hotel charges are limited to room and taxes.

How do I request a Visa to attend?

What is an HP Specialist?

HP Specialist are HP Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and subject matter experts able to discuss business, ongoing deals and new opportunities in individually tailored discussions.

How does my requested meeting get scheduled? Will the meeting be included in my personalized agenda?

Your meeting will be requested and scheduled by your HP Account Executive or Sales Representative who will inform you of the meeting date, time and location once scheduled. The appointment will not be automatically included in your HP Discover personalized agenda. Once you receive confirmation from your HP Account Executive or Sales Representative, you can include it into your event agenda.

What about if time and date does not work for me?

You can inform your HP Account Executive or Sales Representative who will be able to assist and change the meeting date and time pending on the HP Specialists availability.
